European Open: Hanfmann eases past Blockx to move into second round
Yannick Hanfmann won against Alexander Blockx 6-4, 7-6 (3) and will play the winner of the match between Luca Nardi and Dominic Thiem in the next round

German Yannick Hanfmann, the No 5 seed, reached the second round of the European Open by defeating Belgian qualifier Alexander Blockx 6-4, 7-6 (3) at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp.
Hanfmann, ranked No 56, will play the winner of the match between Italian wildcard Luca Nardi and Austrian Dominic Thiem next.
