Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, the No 7 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Rouen Open by winning against Swiss Celine Naef 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 at Palais des sports de Rouen on Wednesday.
Cristian, ranked No 100, will play Belgian Greet Minnen, the top seed, next.
The Romanian beat Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (7-6 (5), 6-1) in the previous round of the Rouen tournament.
During the first round of the Rouen tournament, Naef, ranked No 122, defeated Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean (6-3, 6-3).
