No 4 seed Jodie Burrage advanced to the second round of the Rouen Open by beating Ukrainian Daria Snigur 6-3, 6-3 at Palais des sports de Rouen.
Burrage, ranked No 91, will face the winner of the match between German Anna-Lena Friedsam and French wildcard Alice Robbe next.
