Spaniard Cristina Bucsa advanced to the second round of the Guadalajara Open in Mexico by winning against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic 6-0, 6-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The world No 79 won a whopping 53/78 points played, breaking her opponent’s serve on six occasions across the match.
Bucsa will play the winner of the match between Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 14 seed, and Italian Camila Giorgi next.
