Croat Borna Coric, the top seed, reached the last 4 of the Winston-Salem Open by winning against Argentinian Juan Manuel Cerundolo 6-3, 6-1 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
Coric, ranked No 29, will play Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 6 seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Croat defeated Australian Rinky Hijikata (6-2, 7-6 (2)) and American wildcard Michael Mmoh (6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-3).
Cerundolo, ranked No 100, beat Russian Roman Safiullin (7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-3), German Yannick Hanfmann, the No 10 seed (7-6 (3), 5-7, 7-6 (4)) and American lucky loser Omni Kumar (7-5, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Winston-Salem tournament.
