Winston-Salem Open: Baez reaches last 16

Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 6 seed, reached the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by edging out Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.

Baez, ranked No 42, will face the winner of the match between Australian Aleksandar Vukic, the No 9 seed, and Frenchman Luca Van Assche next.

In the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament, Galan, ranked No 70, beat Radu Albot (6-1, 7-5).
