Lucky loser Jason Jung reached the second round of the Los Cabos Open by defeating Mexican wildcard Ernesto Escobedo 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2 at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Tuesday.
Jung, ranked No 276 in the world, will play No 4 seed Borna Coric next.
