Generali Open: Zhang upsets seventh seed Lajovic to reach second round
The Chinese player will face Austrian wildcard Dominic Thiem in the next round

China’s Zhizhen Zhang continued his good run on clay as he advanced to the second round of the Generali Open on Tuesday.
Zhang, a semi-finalist in Hamburg last week which made him the first Chinese male to reach the semis of an ATP 500 event, upset Serb Dusan Lajovic, the No 7 seed, 6-3, 6-2 at Kitzbühel Tennis Club.
Zhang, ranked No 53, will face local favourite and former champion Dominic Thiem next.
