Poland Open: Swiatek races past Noskova to book place in semi-finals

Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, advanced to the last four of the Poland Open by winning against No 8 seed Linda Noskova 6-1, 6-4 at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw on Saturday afternoon.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, will face the winner of the match between Heather Watson and Belgian Yanina Wickmayer next.
The 22-year-old Pole defeated Uzbek Nigina Abduraimova (6-4, 6-3) and American Claire Liu (6-2, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Warsaw tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Noskova, ranked No 59, won against Croat qualifier Jana Fett (4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-3) and Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova (6-3, 6-3).
