Birmingham Classic: Top seed Krejcikova into first-ever grass court final
Barbora Krejcikova beat Lin Zhu 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday and will face the winner of the match between Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 4 seed, and Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the second seed, in the final
Czech Barbora Krejcikova, the top seed, moved into the final of the Birmingham Classic by defeating Chinese Lin Zhu 6-3, 6-2 at Edgbaston Priory Club on Saturday.
Krejcikova, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 4 seed, and Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the second seed, next.

She has still not dropped a set this week, which is her first appearance in Birmingham.
This will be her first-ever final on grass.
Earlier in the tournament, the Czech won against Spanish qualifier Cristina Bucsa (6-3, 6-3), qualifier Tereza Martincova (6-4, 6-4) and Linda Fruhvirtova (6-3, 6-2).
Zhu, ranked No 39, beat Katie Boulter (7-5, 7-5), Pole Magda Linette, the No 3 seed (6-3, 6-0) and Canadian lucky loser Rebecca Marino (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Birmingham tournament.
