Geneva Open: Dimitrov advances to quarter-finals, meets O’Connell next
Grigor Dimitrov beat Roberto Carballes Baena 6-1, 6-4 on Wednesday. He’ll play Australian Christopher O’Connell in the next round
Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 4 seed, reached the last eight of the Geneva Open by winning against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-1, 6-4 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Wednesday.
Dimitrov, ranked No 33, will face Australian Christopher O’Connell next.
In the previous round of the Geneva tournament, Carballes Baena, ranked No 58, beat qualifier Daniel Rincon (6-4, 4-6, 6-0).
