Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure, the No 4 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Saint-Malo Open by winning against French wildcard Selena Janicijevic 6-4, 6-4 at the Parc des sports de Marville on Monday afternoon.
Bonaventure, ranked No 84, will face the winner of the match between Ukrainian wildcard Elina Svitolina and Greek Despina Papamichail next.
