Barcelona Open: Ruusuvuori defeats Tiafoe, books spot in last 16
Emil Ruusuvuori edged out Frances Tiafoe 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-4 on Tuesday and will face Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 10 seed, in the next round

Finn Emil Ruusuvuori reached the last 16 of the Barcelona Open by edging out American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-4 at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Tuesday.
Ruusuvuori, ranked No 40, will face Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 10 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Finn won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik (6-0, 6-3).
