Swiss qualifier Alexander Ritschard beat German Jan-Lennard Struff 7-5, 7-5 to move into the second round of the BMW Open at the MTTC Iphitos complex in Munich on Tuesday.
Ritschard, ranked No 209, will play American Marcos Giron next.
