German Tatjana Maria, the second seed, won against Francesca Jones 6-3, 6-4 to reach the final of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Saturday evening.
Maria, ranked No 66, will face the winner of the match between American Peyton Stearns and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova, the No 4 seed, next.
The 35-year-old will bid for her second career title on Sunday.
The German defeated American Katrina Scott (6-1, 6-4), Brazilian qualifier Carolina M. Alves (6-2, 6-4) and Italian qualifier Nuria Brancaccio (6-3, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Colombia Open, Francesca Jones won against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 3 seed (7-6 (3), 6-1), Canadian Carol Zhao (6-2, 6-1) and Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-2).
