German Tatjana Maria, the second seed, moved into the second round of the Bogota Open by winning against American Katrina Scott 6-1, 6-4 at the Country Club Bogota on Tuesday.
Maria, ranked No 66, will face the winner of the match between Brazilian qualifier Carolina M. Alves and Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska next.
