Czech Linda Noskova beat Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu 7-6 (7), 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Indian Wells at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Wednesday, at her first appearance.
Noskova, ranked No 54, will play No 31 seed Amanda Anisimova next.
