Dubai Duty Free Championships: Gauff loses to Swiatek for sixth time in a row

Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, advanced to the final of the Dubai Duty Free Championships by beating American Coco Gauff, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 6-2 at The Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Friday afternoon.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, will play the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula, the No 3 seed, and Czech Barbora Krejcikova next.
The 21-year-old Pole won against Canadian Leylah Fernandez (6-1, 6-1) and Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 14 seed (6-1, 6-0) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Dubai Open, Gauff, ranked No 6, defeated Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich (6-0, 6-4), Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 9 seed (W/O) and Madison Keys (6-2, 7-5).
