Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, defeated second seed Cameron Norrie 6-3, 7-5 to lift the Argentina Open trophy at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Sunday evening.
Ahead of his victory, Alcaraz, ranked No 2, beat Serb Laslo Djere (6-2, 4-6, 6-2), Serb qualifier Dusan Lajovic (6-4, 6-2) and Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-2, 6-2).
Norrie, ranked No 12, beat Argentinian wildcard Facundo Diaz Acosta (4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (6)), Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry (5-7, 6-0, 6-3) and Peruvian qualifier Juan Pablo Varillas (7-6 (5), 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
