Tennis Australia unveils Australian Summer of Tennis calendar
The new tennis season will kick off on December 29 with the inaugural edition of the Unted Cup
Tennis fans will have a bonanza of tournaments when the new season kicks off with Tennis Australia confirming the complete Australian summer of tennis calendar for 2023.
The new season will kick off from December 29 to January 8 with the inaugural United Cup, a new mixed team event featuring some of the world’s top men and women players with group stages being held in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney leading up to the Final Four in Sydney.
There will also be two back-to-back WTA 500 and ATP 250 tournaments from January1 to 14 in Adelaide. Tennis Australia will also host an ATP Challenger and ITF event in Canberra in the first week of January. The second week of January sees the return of the Hobart International for the first time since 2020.
The Australian Open qualifying event will kick off in Melbourne from January 9 while the main draw action at the first Grand Slam of the season beginning from January 16 and ending on January 29 to complete the Australian summer of tennis.
