Crèdit Andorrà Open: Falkowska books spot in last eight

Pole Weronika Falkowska won against Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Crèdit Andorrà Open on Thursday afternoon.
Falkowska, ranked No 266, will face the winner of the match between German Tatjana Maria, the No 3 seed, and Croat Ana Konjuh next.
The 22-year-old Pole beat Romanian Jaqueline Cristian (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Yastremska, ranked No 101, defeated Uzbek Nigina Abduraimova (6-1, 6-4).
