Montenegrin Danka Kovinic, the second seed, advanced to the final of the Argentina Open by defeating Argentinian wildcard Paula Ormaechea 6-0, 6-1 at Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday evening.
Kovinic, ranked No 71, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle and Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 3 seed, next.
The Montenegrin won against Argentinian qualifier Julia Riera (6-1, 2-6, 6-1), Argentinian wildcard Nadia Podoroska (6-2, 6-3) and Russian qualifier Diana Shnaider (6-4, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
Ormaechea, ranked No 185, won against Austrian Julia Grabher, the No 4 seed (6-3, 6-2), Serb qualifier Natalija Stevanovic (7-5, 6-2) and Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-4).
