Moutet trolls French Federation on Twitter after removal of financial support

The controversial Frenchman tweeted “thanks for your support” to the FFT after it congratulated him for his late win over Cameron Norrie

According to L’Equipe, Corentin Moutet has been ousted from the French Tennis Federation – and had his funding removed – because of his numerous antics on the ATP circuit. In particular, the Frenchman almost came to blows with Adrian Andreev during the Orleans Challenger tournament at the end of September.

The FFT confirmed to L’Equipe: “Corentin’s behaviour on court does not correspond to the values that the FFT wishes to transmit. We cannot support this type of behaviour. Number five in the French ATP rankings, Corentin Moutet will no longer be able to count on financial support from the Federation.”

Ironically, the 23-year-old was the last Frenchman standing at the Rolex Paris Masters after Gilles Simon lost the final match of his career. And Moutet took aim at the FFT on Twitter with a tweet worthy of the greatest social network trolls.
