Dow Tennis Classic: Osorio into quarter-finals

Colombian Camila Osorio, the No 5 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Dow Tennis Classic by winning against American Elizabeth Mandlik 6-1, 7-5 at Greater Midland Tennis Center on Thursday evening.

Osorio, ranked No 83, will play the winner of the match between German Anna-Lena Friedsam and American Sachia Vickery next.

The 20-year-old Colombian defeated Canadian wildcard Eugenie Bouchard (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) in the previous round.

In the first round, Mandlik, ranked No 122, beat Romanian Gabriela Lee (6-4, 7-5).
