Czech Karolina Pliskova moved into the second round of the San Diego Open by defeating American qualifier Caroline Dolehide 6-3, 6-4 at the Barnes Tennis Centre on Tuesday evening.
Pliskova, ranked No 22, will play Croat qualifier Donna Vekic next.
