ATP Florence Open: Celikbilek moves into second round, winning his first match on the Tour

Turk qualifier Altug Celikbilek advanced to the second round of the Florence Open by beating Italian wildcard Giulio Zeppieri 6-3, 6-2 at the Palazzo Wanny on Monday evening.

Celikbilek, aged 26 ans ranked No 230, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Richard Gasquet and American Brandon Nakashima, the No 8 seed, next.

This is Celikbilek’s first appearance in a final draw on the ATP Tour after five appearances in qualifications (3-5).
