Another straight-sets win for Medvedev in Astana, advances to quarter-finals

Russian Daniil Medvedev, the second seed, beat Finn Emil Ruusuvuori 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Astana Open at the Daulet National Tennis Center in Nur-Sultan on Thursday afternoon.
Medvedev, ranked No 4, will face Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
In the previous round of the Nur-Sultan, the Russian won against Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-3, 6-1).
Ruusuvuori, ranked No 53, defeated Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler (6-0, 6-2) in the previous round of the Nur-Sultan.
