Belgian qualifier Ysaline Bonaventure defeated Swiss Jil Teichmann, the No 9 seed, 7-6 (8), 6-3 to move into the last 8 of the Tallinn Open at the Forus Tennis Centre on Thursday night.
Bonaventure, ranked No 138, will play the winner of the match between Estonian Anett Kontaveit, the top seed, and Czech Tereza Martincova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Belgian won against American Shelby Rogers (6-4, 6-4).
Teichmann, ranked No 36, won against German Laura Siegemund (6-4, 7-6 (7)) in the previous round.
