Sofia Open: Verdasco upends Basilashvili to second round
Fernando Verdasco defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili 7-6 (1), 7-5 on Wednesday. He’ll face Australian Aleksandar Vukic in the next round
Spaniard Fernando Verdasco upended Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, the No 6 seed, 7-6 (1), 7-5 to advance to the second round of the Sofia Open at the Arena Armeec Sofia on Wednesday afternoon.
The 38-year-old Verdasco, ranked No 116, will face Australian Aleksandar Vukic, who upset Fabio Fognini, next.
