Lauren Davis moved into the last 8 of the Budapest Open by defeating qualifier Emma Navarro 7-5, 6-4 at Római Tennis Academy on Wednesday.
Davis, ranked No 97, will face the winner of the match between Russian lucky loser Erika Andreeva and Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin next.
In the previous round, Lauren Davis won against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (6-3, 6-3).
Navarro, ranked No 132, beat Hungarian Dalma Galfi (7-6 (5), 7-6 (3)) during the first round.
