Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 10 seed, reached the last 16 of the Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby by defeating Slovenian Tamara Zidansek 6-1, 7-5 on Monday evening.
Kostyuk, ranked No 72, will play the winner of the match between Australian Jaimee Fourlis and Canadian Marina Stakusic next.
