Atlanta Open: Isner books spot in quarter-finals
John Isner edged out Ben Shelton 7-6 (8), 4-6, 7-6 (3) on Friday night and will play No 6 seed Jenson Brooksby in the next round

Second seed John Isner edged out wildcard Ben Shelton 7-6 (8), 4-6, 7-6 (3) to move into the last 8 of the Atlanta Open at the Atlantic Stadion on Friday night.
Isner, ranked No 25, will face No 6 seed Jenson Brooksby next.
Shelton, ranked No 281, beat Indian qualifier Ramkumar Ramanathan (6-2, 7-5) in the previous round.
