Atlanta Open: Mannarino into last eight

Adrian Mannarino won against Andres Martin 7-5, 6-3 on Thursday evening and will face the winner of the match between No 3 seed Alex De Minaur and James Duckworth in the next round

French lucky loser Adrian Mannarino moved into the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Open by winning against American wildcard Andres Martin 7-5, 6-3 at the Atlantic Stadion on Thursday evening.

Mannarino, ranked No 78, will face the winner of the match between No 3 seed Alex De Minaur and James Duckworth next.

In the previous round, the 34-year-old Frenchman beat German qualifier Peter Gojowczyk (6-3, 7-6 (7)).

Andres Martin defeated Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis (6-3, 6-2) during the first round.
