Belarusian Ilya Ivashka advanced to the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Open by edging out American lucky loser Steve Johnson 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at the Atlantic Stadion on Wednesday night.
Ivashka, ranked No 53, will face American Tommy Paul, the No 5 seed, next.
The Belarusian defeated Frenchman Quentin Halys (6-0, 3-6, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
