John Millman reached the second round of the Atlanta Open by winning against Alexei Popyrin 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-3 at the Atlantic Stadion on Monday night.
Millman, ranked No 81, will play American Brandon Nakashima, the No 8 seed, next.
