Swiss Open: Ramos-Vinolas moves into quarter-finals

Albert Ramos-Vinolas beat Dominic Stricker 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 on Thursday evening. He’ll face Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry in the next round

Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas, the No 4 seed, won against Swiss wildcard Dominic Stricker 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Swiss Open at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Thursday evening.

Ramos-Vinolas, ranked No 40, will face Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry next.

In the previous round of the Gstaad, Stricker, ranked No 180, edged out wildcard Marc-Andrea Huesler (6-7 (2), 7-6 (2), 6-4).
