Italian Matteo Berrettini, the second seed, beat Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-4, 6-4 to reach the last eight of the Swiss Open at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Thursday.
Berrettini, ranked No 15, will face Spaniard Pedro Martinez, the No 5 seed, next.
Gasquet, ranked No 64, won against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the Gstaad.
