Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 3 seed, defeated Swede wildcard Elias Ymer 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Nordea Open at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Wednesday evening.
Schwartzman, ranked No 14, will face No 5 seed Pablo Carreno Busta next.
In the previous round of the Bastad, Ymer, ranked No 134, won against German Daniel Altmaier (6-4, 7-6 (5)).
