Steve Johnson reached the second round of the Hall of Fame Open by defeating Stefan Kozlov 7-5, 6-3 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Monday evening.
Johnson, ranked No 95, will play the winner of the match between Czech Jiri Vesely, the No 7 seed, and Spaniard Feliciano López next.
