Grand Est Open: Errani reaches quarter-finals

Sara Errani edged out Olga Danilovic 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 on Wednesday and will face Italian qualifier Camilla Rosatello in the next round

Italian Sara Errani edged out Serb Olga Danilovic 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 to move into the last 8 of the Grand Est Open at Tennis Club de Contrexéville on Wednesday afternoon.

Errani, ranked No 161, will play Italian qualifier Camilla Rosatello next.

Ahead of her victory, the 35-year-old Italian won against Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva (7-6 (5), 6-3).

Danilovic, ranked No 126, beat Russian Varvara Gracheva, the second seed (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round.
