Wimbledon: Sock books spot in third round
Jack Sock edged out Maxime Cressy 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (1) on Friday afternoon. He’ll play Australian qualifier Jason Murray Kubler in the next round
Qualifier Jack Sock reached the third round of Wimbledon by edging out Maxime Cressy 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (1) at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday.
Sock, ranked No 103, will play Australian qualifier Jason Murray Kubler next.
Ahead of his victory, Jack Sock defeated Spanish qualifier Bernabe Zapata Miralles (7-6 (6), 6-4, 6-4).
Cressy, ranked No 45, edged out Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 6 seed (6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (9), 7-6 (5)) in the previous round.
