Schwartzman latest seed to crash out, Brit Broady advances to third round

Wildcard Liam Broady reached the third round of Wimbledon by winning against Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 12 seed, 6-2, 4-6, 0-6, 7-6 (6), 6-1 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday afternoon.

Broady, ranked No 132, will face the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 19 seed, and Jack Draper next.

He came back from 3-0 down in the fourth to secure a remarkable win – and is now into the Wimbledon third round for the first time at the age of 28.

Ahead of his victory, Liam Broady defeated Slovak qualifier Lukas Klein (4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-7 (2), 6-3).

Schwartzman, ranked No 15, beat American lucky loser Stefan Kozlov (6-3, 6-2, 6-2) in the previous round.
