Wimbledon: Bublik books spot in third round
Alexander Bublik won against Dusan Lajovic 7-6 (7), 6-2, 7-5 on Wednesday afternoon and will play American Frances Tiafoe, the No 23 seed, in the next round
Kazakh Alexander Bublik moved into the third round of Wimbledon by beating Serb Dusan Lajovic 7-6 (7), 6-2, 7-5 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday afternoon.
Bublik, ranked No 38, will play American Frances Tiafoe, the No 23 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Kazakh won against Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (6-1, 6-2, 6-4).
Lajovic, ranked No 64, benefited from the abandonment of Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, the No 16 seed (3-6, 6-4, 0-0) in the previous round.
